CCleaner for Android first analyzes the device before it starts cleaning the device. The result of the analysis shows you the space occupied by different apps and which data can be removed safely. You can choose what to delete and what to keep. It is the first screen that will be seen by you when you will open CCleaner for Android.
After tapping the analyze button, CCleaner will start analyzing your device. The results will be shown in different categories. The major categories are History, Cache, Files and Folders, Call Logs, Processes and Other caches. In the current version, the grey area refers to the amount of storage that can be reclaimed once it is cleaned. You can tap on each of the categories to see more options available for you so that you can clean what you want. You will have to select the items you want to be removed from your Android device.
Once you are done with your selection, just tap on Clean and it will start cleaning. You will be able to see the progress in the progress bar. When an item is being cleaned, you will see a blue circle in front of it. Once your device is cleaned, you will be taken back to the main screen. Here, you will see the summary which will show what exactly has been removed and how much additional space is there for you now.
