Inky is an email client, which aims to help you access all your email accounts in a single platform.
The android app is available for download from Google play app store.
With the app, you can monitor your email messages while on the go, from your android device. The user interface for inky is very easy to navigate, with a lot of functionality. It has bright interesting colours, and wide panes which are easy on the eyes.
The interface basically has a thin strip of various icons for customization of your mails, a pane offering a preview of messages, and a large pane where the messages can be read, and new messages composed.
The icons have various functions. They are used to customize your email views. Some allow you to select certain types of emails based on various parameters like sender, date, subject, etc. others can be used to organize your emails in different ways. You can also compose emails, and delete selected mails.
The app also has some special views which help make email viewing much easier. There is the filtered view. With this view, you can see only your personal emails. Other mails in your box like newsletters or notifications will not appear in this view. This makes it easy to pick your most relevant mails while on the go.
There is an icon which makes a unified view of all your email messages from all your accounts visible in one place. This feature brings out your most recent messages.
The notes feature helps you to organize yourself and your different activities by sending email reminders to yourself. These reminders will be arranged for you by inky, for easy viewing.
The Inky Android app can also organize all the messages in your inbox into different categories such as newsletters, notifications, personal emails, and others so that your unified box will be properly organized.
Inky offers some security guarantees. The messages are properly encrypted to prevent unauthorized access by a third party. This makes your email messages more secure from interferences. The messages processed through inky are not visible to the staff members who manage the inky software because they are not stored on inky’s cloud servers.
Some possible downsides to the use of the inky android app include occasional glitches during its function, such as slow loading of some pages or views. The app consumes much memory space, but there is an option which allows customization of the space on the CPU the app can make use of.
Inky is currently offered at $5 per person per month. There is a 14 day free trial period. After the trial period, Inky remains free for users who access only GMail, iCloud, and Outlook.com accounts. For other types of accounts (e.g., Exchange, Office 365, business IMAP), a paid subscription must be purchased for $5 per user per month.
